(post 24)Greetings From Down Under

G’day from Noosa, Queensland, where the weather today is a toasty 32C and the humidity is right up there too. I arrived in Australia last Friday after a relatively painless 20+hrs of flying and within a few days seemed to have the jetlag out of my system. Wearing compression gear and drinking a lot of water throughout the flight definitely helped…

I stayed in Sydney for a few days with my friends Jon & Marion – thanks guys for a great stay. Jon has recently discovered the joys of running and swimming so we did a triathlete’s style tour of Sydney – swimming in some of the best pools the city has to offer (outdoor 50m, naturally!) and going on some great runs. Top swim destination has to go to the North Sydney pool – it is tucked underneath the harbour bridge so as you swim along and breathe to your left/right you can see the bridge in full view – absolutely brilliant!

I have been up in Noosa since Tuesday, which is going to be my home from home for the next few months, and it has been great to get out on the Focus Cayo Expert with the sun beating down. Everything starts at dawn’s crack here so we were out on the bike at 5.30am today and in the ocean yesterday at a similar time. Must be time for a siesta soon!

Happy training
