You may have noticed that the Wiggle exclusive brands have been filling up the pages of the British cycle press, resulting in some excellent reviews.

Firstly the new Focus 2009 MTB hardtails have been put through their paces by MBUK and WhatMTB. The Focus Fat Boy was well received by the guys at WhatMTB, loving the steep angles and the stability it carries at full throttle;

“The Fat Boy has a confident but sprightly feel. Fast tyres mean better acceleration and climbing than similar bikes we’ve tested. Despite gaining a pound in weight since last year’s model, the Focus is still among the lightest in its category. A low bottom bracket needs care when pedalling through bumpy terrain, but means more stability at speed. We really like its steepish angles, which sit you slightly forward, in an ideal position to really use the fork in rough terrain.”

While WhatMTB were impressed with the Fat Boy, MBUK were raving about the speed demon that is the Focus Black Forest Expert. Excited by its groupset, low weight, fast Alex X0 wheels and powerful Avid Elixir brakes. MBUK concluded with:

“An untamed speed-demon of a cross country bike, that’s superbly equipped and far lighter than most of its price rivals. It’s a fantastic steed if speed is more important to you than gnarly trail ability…”

But if you are after ‘gnarly trail ability’ it’s a problem which can be easily solved by purchasing a set of ‘mud’ tyres, with the £50 worth of kit that we offer you with every bike purchased over £500. The Focus Black Forest scored an impressive 8/10.

Wiggle are the exclusive UK retailers for road cycling legend Dave Zabriskie’s DZ Nuts chamois cream, and Cycling Weekly we’re thoroughly impressed a gave it a great write up:

“With no problems encountered it’s safe to say DZ Nuts is a great performing cream that will outlast your legs…”

Also Cycling Weekly rated the Lifeline Syn Lube highly with a 9/10 review, commenting on how long it lasted before reapplication, and its offering of low friction and the dampening of drivetrain noise. They concluded by saying:

“At £5.99 this is a fair price for a great product that may not set the world on fire but will keep you happily rolling along for many miles.”

And it doesn’t stop there, the dhb range of luggage received praise, in the same publication, regarding its hard wearing, functional and stylish design. Expect to see the great value dhb Elsted luggage range in the pits at the race circuits this season.
