Family visit for Markus Fothen
After the second training camp of the year on Mallorca, MILRAM’s Markus Fothen could rejoice over a family visit on the vacation island. His wife and children joined him for a short family vacation. The 27-year-old will have to turn his attention back to cycling soon, when he starts the Mallorca Challenge on February 8, as his first race for his new team.
Wegmann und Fröhlinger sweating in Breisgau
Fabian Wegmann and Johannes Fröhlinger will also be at the start for their new team at that race. The two have moved far from the training camp and strapped on their cross-country skis for basis training. After their stint on Mallorca, they both went back to the Breisgau region, where they are now sweating for the season opener.
Terpstra finds homeland cold
Niki Terpstra is sweating on his bike right now, but when he is not training, he sure notices the differences in temperature between the Mediterranean and the frozen Dutch dikes.
“After the great weather on Mallorca, it’s a bit sad to be back in the cold and wet Netherlands.”
Said Niki, however he doesn’t have long to wait for better weather: Terpstra will start his season this weekend in the Tour of Qatar, where it is currently 27° Celsius and sunny.
