Our last and final addition to Team Wiggle 2009 goes by the name of Richard Pearman. Richard was chosen and given the deal in addition to the selected winning Wiggle road rider.
Richard has been cycling for 25 years and brings a great deal of knowledge and enthusiasm of the sport to the team. Richard is also well known to many of us here at Wiggle HQ as Richard is employed by Wiggle as one of our Website Product Administrators.
Since Richard’s early school days when he joined his local cycling club he used to join the other members on their Sunday club runs and Richard competed in their time trials. Two years later he moved on to road racing – and in Richard’s own words “absolutely loved it”. He has been hooked ever since!
After 25 years in this great sport, Richard has learnt a tremendous amount and always tries to share his knowledge with new riders who are just starting out. As well as training, racing, and holding down full time employment here at Wiggle, Richard also takes teams representing Surrey Cycle Racing League over to race in Ireland. His last trip to Ireland was in May of last year when the Surrey League had a team in the 2008 UCI 2.2 International FBD Insurance RaS 9 Day Stage Race.
What Richard enjoys most is racing/riding with other riders, and friends, who have been cycling for as long as he has.
