Stage 1 – Giro di Trentino, Italy (2.1)
It was a good day for Vision 1 at the Giro di Trentino with all riders showing strongly at the front and helping control the stage for a sprint finish. In the finale it was a battle between Equipe Nuernberg and Vision 1 who both tried to deliver their leaders in the best possible place for the finish. On the line Former World Champion Regina Schleicher (Nuernberg) took the victory just ahead of World and Olympic Champion Nicole Cooke (Vision 1). Third was Allessandra D’
Ettore.
Friday 19th June will be the decisive stage which climbs from the beginning to over 1,000m before descending back into the Trento valley before the final 7km climb with the last km at 14%.
