Congratulations Matt, I had the honour of being lapped by you on more than 1 occasion at Mayhem! Unbelievable lap result and riding times being solo over 24hrs.

That’s my boy! Well done Matthew I am so proud of you. All that hard work training for the last year really paid off. When you asked us at the “pits” on the last lap “was it safe” and we said “yes” I must admit I shed more than a few tears knowing what was going to happen on the finishing line! Are we going to have a new member in the team? Doug from Wiggle took some great pictures of the event – he even got up at 4am to take some – what dedication. All the best for the rest of the year X

The greatest respect to you Matt, I rode in a team of 5 and managed just 5 laps in 5 hours, to do 26 in 24hrs is a brilliant achievement. Congratulations to you and Mia.

I remember watching your epic battle at dusk till dawn last year and thought “he’s going to be the man to beat next year”.
Nice touch to propose on the finish line too – that certainly hasn’t been done before!

Firstly congratulations to you and Mia Matt,
I found your blog from the event great reading and probably like most could relate to some aspects.
I did the Wiggle 6hour this year so i have the uttmost respect for your achievement, 24hours solo is obviously extremely physically draining but the mental battle must be huge too, i nearly had a lump in my throat by the end!.
very well done.
