I was very disappointed after puncturing in Hyde Park as I felt good on the bike and was looking forward to a fast run. Hyde Park World Cup
was one of my last ever WC races. I have lost my passion for this style of racing as the majority of the bike courses are so flat that there is no longer opportunities to get away and stay away like on hilly courses. It is now becoming a runners race every time which does not really suit me, so I have decided to have a real go at 70.3 and Non drafting. I will still be doing all the UK races next year as I love the races on home soil.
My season so far this year has been very up and down because of an infection in a wisdom tooth but my teeth are all good now and training has been going very well over the last couple of weeks. I have seen some great times on the track and in the pool.
My next races is a french Grand Prix in Paris and then I’m off the the USA for three non drafting races and finish the season off at the World Champs 70.3 in Clearwater.
After Clearwater I will be having a break and then running some training camps here in Loughbrough with Team Dillon coaching.
