Torq / Powertap Competiton Winner Response.

Back in June 2009, Wiggle teamed up with Torq, manufacturers of Torq energy bar and energy drinks & Powertap to offer the chance to win one of three amazing prizes including a CycleOps Powertap Elite Plus Hub System worth £749.99!

All you had to do was simply buy a box or tub of any Torq product from wiggle.co.uk before 30th June 2009 to be in with a chance of winning!

The competition has now ended and a very lucky winner was picked. Here’s what first prize winner Andrew Matthews had to say.

“I could not believe it, I had actually won a prize, and a powertap at that….fantastic…! This is definitely the best thing I have ever won, in fact I cannot remember winning anything apart from £10 on the lottery.
As for the usefulness of the powertap it is absolutely indispensable if you want to maximise training time.

Using the powertap for 2 wks before the vitruvian triathlon was enlightening and allowed me to learn how to maximise my effort on what is reputed as the hardest half-ironman cycle course in the uk. Setting a great bike split I managed to lead all the other veterans into the bike to run transition. It’s a state of the art way to train I will be using the powertap religiously over the winter.
