Wiggle wins best online retailer at BikeBiz Awards

Wiggle was crowned best online retailer of the year at the BikeBiz Awards last night for the second year running. The awards, which took place at Sway Bar, Green Queen Street, London, celebrated the bike industry’s high achievers. With 3.4 million visitors to its site this July – a figure which is up 62 per cent on the same period last year – Wiggle had some impressive statistics with which to wow the judging panel.

This, together with Wiggle’s excellent customer service, wide range of competitively priced products, exciting offers and innovative
website, helped seal the victory for the bike and triathlon retailer. It has been a great week for Wiggle: just a few days ago it learned it has been shortlisted for two titles in the 2010 eCommerce Awards for Excellence. This followed Experian Hitwise UK naming Wiggle as Britain’s most visited bikes website during the first half of 2010, a title it has enjoyed every year since 2006. Wiggle
was also ranked fourth overall in the sport and fitness retail industry sector.

Martin Talbot, Wiggle’s director of marketing, said:

“We are delighted to have won the BikeBiz award for best online retailer once again. It confirms to us, our customers and the industry that we are the best at what we do. We look forward to building on this success in the future.”
