Wiggle adds Enduro6 tickets to its website

The Wiggle Enduro6 is one of the biggest and best events of its kind in the UK – and from today anyone wanting to sign up will be able to do so via Wiggle’s website. The event, organised by Pro Velo Support, is a firm favourite on the UK mountain bike endurance calendar and is widely regarded as the “must do” season opener.

Held at Catton Park near Tamworth on April 30 – May 1, the event sees pairs and soloists aim to complete as many laps of the undulating six-mile course as possible within six hours. The unique twist to Wiggle Enduro6 is that it’s a “Parc Ferme” event, which means each rider (or pair) is allocated a secure pit area and all kit for the entire event must be in the pit before the race starts. Once the race is under way nothing can be added which means good preparation is vital to success.

Martin Talbot, Wiggle’s director of marketing, said:

“We are pleased to support this popular event once again. Each year it seems to grow bigger and better and I’m sure 2011 will be no exception. This year we are particularly excited to be selling entries on Wiggle’s website.”

Patrick Adams, of Pro Velo Support, said:

“Our aim is to always deliver the finest possible sporting events with the needs of the competitor at the heart of the organisation. This ensures riders and runners of all ages and abilities have a challenging and rewarding experience and are inspired to push themselves further. We are delighted to be working with Wiggle again and selling entries via the Wiggle website is bound to be great for the event.”

Wiggle Enduro6 has often sold out quickly, so early entry is advised particularly as the maximum number of riders is set at 550 and no entries are permitted on the day. Categories include solo elite/expert and solo fun for men and women as well as men’s and women’s pairs or mixed pairs.

Shifting the emphasis from endurance to sheer speed, there’s also the Night-time Time Trial which sees riders race the clock to complete one lap of the Enduro6 course as fast as possible (elite/expert and fun categories). For those who prefer off the bike action, there’s the Wiggle 10k run which always proves popular.

In addition to exemplary organisation, course marking and marshalling, the event is supported with trade stands from Wiggle, Focus and many others. There’s also a massage tent, catering, commentary, hot showers and plenty more to ensure all participants enjoy a memorable weekend of riding.

Also held on the same weekend is the Wiggle Run 10K!

The fourth annual Wiggle Run 10K event has quickly established itself as one of the friendliest events on the calendar with exceptional facilities & a course that certainly dishes out an enthralling ten thousand metres of twists, turns, climbs & technical woodland sections. For 2011 we have added a separate race & start time for the ever increasing numbers of runners with dogs. They will be set off half an hour after the main run so that everyone gets a clear run at the course. This event not only gives runners a great test of their off-road running ability, but it will be the first chance of the year to test out the course that will be used at July’s adidas Thunder Run 24hr event.

As well as the well marshalled 10K route, winding through scenic Catton Park, you can expect great facilities, including hot showers and flushing toilets, free camping & parking close to the track right by the action. There will also be quality catering on site. Your time will be logged with Champion Chip timing and every finisher will receive a goody bag and commemorative memento.

Entry to the Wiggle Run 10K is limited to 500 competitors allocated on a first come, first served basis.
