Wiggle Super Series New Forest Saturday Spring Sportive
We knew you loved our Wiggle Super Series – but we didn’t know you loved it this much! All 1,200 tickets were sold so quickly for the New Forest Spring Sportive on April 17 that in a bid to keep all you keen sportive riders happy, event organiser UK Cycling Events has added the New Forest Saturday Spring Sportive to the calendar for April 16.
This bonus sportive, which will take place from Brockenhurst, Hampshire, has 500 spaces and will boast all the same features as Sunday’s event with riders able to choose the same 83-mile route or the 56-mile option. Both routes will weave their way through the beautiful New Forest National Park where the breathtaking scenery and quiet forest roads make for perfect road bike riding.
Riders can look forward to all the luxuries which they have come to associate with the Wiggle Super Series events including well stocked feed stations, disposable chip timing, mechanical support, massages, bike wash facilities, a finisher’s medal, well marked courses and a goody bag worth more than £10.
If riders book before midnight on Sunday, March 13, they will also receive a free High5 nutrition pack worth £12.
Organiser Martin Barden, of UK Cycling Events, said:
“We were delighted when the New Forest Spring Sportive sold out in record time. When more and more road bike riders kept requesting places, adding another event on the Saturday seemed like the perfect solution. We will also have the New Forest Spring Mountain Bike/Cyclocross Ride taking place that day, so grab your bikes and come and join us! It promises to be a fun-filled day of cycling for all ages and abilities.”
Martin Talbot, Wiggle’s director of marketing, added:
“It’s great to see the Wiggle Super Series is proving so popular. The New Forest is a lovely place for cycling so we hope everyone enjoys getting out on their bikes.”
