Finale

Well here it is – My ‘finale’ Bloggle for Team Wiggle. It’s been a fantastic couple of years working with the Wiggle Team and having access to all that top class kit – it has certainly made my participation in Triathlon a lot more affordable and a much better experience overall.

The Focus bikes have definitely been a highlight of my Sponsorship deal, and riding them has put me ‘up a gear’ with my cycling. It has also been great to have such fantastic wetsuits, and on-tap support for any ‘technical issues’ – Thanks guys! It has also been a fantastic opportunity and great to get ‘up close and personal’ with some of the Sport’s top athletes and to be able to enter some mind-blowing events: Blenheim and London Tri last year were superb and I loved the experience!

Sad as I am to be leaving the Team, I have decided for the time being to take a different path – with Modern Pentathlon – perhaps a path that may lead me to the Olympics in 2016.

When I came into Triathlon and entered the Wiggle sponsorship Competition I was trying Biathlon, Biathle and Aquathlon too and it was the Biathlon that led me to National selection for Modern Pentathlon last year: To be honest juggling all the competitions was a major effort! Now I have had to commit as Pentathlon is taking up so much of my time. Triathlon will always be dear to my heart though and I will continue to compete when I can and be an advocate for the sport.

As one door closes for me another opens: As I say farewell to Wiggle Sponsorship I am now in receipt of SportsAid and have been promoted to the Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme from the World Class Talented Athlete Programme: My next step towards podium level!

So look-out for me in the future; You can continue to follow me on my ASDA athlete’s blog (Search Africa Mason) or on twitter @ africa_beth. Finally thanks to Wiggle for all their support for the past 2 years, and for helping me on my way.
