Stage 10
No doubt after the rest day the riders legs will be a little stiff, so I’m sure a slightly downhill start will be very welcome. But with the sprint bonus at 37.5km I expect that that the first hour might be run out at a slightly rapid pace, then backing off a little once the sign has been sprinted for. Is this a day for the sprinters? I’m not 100% sure as it’ll depend on the Team and how organised they are. The climbs are not long, but the rigours of the day might slow the legs down a little. Wide open roads and with the last 15km on a downward slope to the finish they will be looking to take their designated rider to the line in the quickest fashion. This may be a day for the Classics style sprinter with Hushovd, Farrar and Gilbert in the mix.
