Stage 11

A rolling day awaits the riders on the 13th of July and it may be a French rider who attacks as there aren’t many in the peloton who will be able to claim Bastille Glory the following day. Could Quick Step employ a nifty one two and use Jerome Pineau and Sylvain Chavanel to great effect and roll home for a French victory? From Cofidis David Moncoutie offers the French Team their best chance. Team Europcar (one of two all French Teams) will be desperate to bag the overall honours, and who’d bet against Thomas Voeckler to be leading the charge. As Stage 12 will be a big day in the saddle for the GC guys, those Teams which are now in contention will be keeping their powder dry. The course is perfect for the escape artists to get away and for the peloton just to cruise through the kilometres.
