Round 2 of the Mr Blings Winter Series was my first race for a while and so my expectations were not high. But I had a good result and a load of fun.
It was only a one day event so it was important to make the most of practice. There was a section of the course which consisted of a lot of big off camber roots. They were technical so I spent quite a lot of practice on that bit of the track. There was a line around them but for me, I reckon, it was about half a second slower.

As it was a short course I decided to take the risky faster line. The track was pretty wet and sandy so I ran my trusty Maxxis Wet Screams which never let me down. The wetter and slimier it is the better they work.

I was pretty relaxed before the race runs and had a good first run. It put me in second place behind the National Champion, Philip Atwill. My second run was not as good but at Mr Bling they do three race runs and my third run was my fastest, securing me second place.

It was a fun track and all in all a good day.
Merry Christmas.
