I’m a country girl living in the big smoke. Love traveling and keeping fit. I’m currently studying to become a social worker. Need a new challenge so thought I’d take on the epic challenge of running the London Marathon

Is this your first Marathon?

This is my first!

Why have you decided to run the London Marathon?

I have been looking for a new exercise goal to take on for while. Then this year I watched the marathon live. I was so overwhelmed by what an amazing achievement that was for people that I decided I’d like to give it a shot!

Are you currently involved in other sports?

I’m a regular gym user.

What training have you been doing so far?

Running 3 times a week plus gym

What training do you plan to do?

I have a training plan to follow but to support this I am also going to join a running club.

What is the best & worst advice you have been given?

Best advice – Follow a training plan

Worst advice – Take fat burning pills (advised by the personal trainer at the gym)!

What kit have you bought to train & run?

I’ve bought Adidas running trainers, running socks, running tops and bottoms. I’ve also bought a running app for my iPhone (it’s very handy)!

What time are you aiming for?

5- 5 1/2 hours approx
