Hello, readers, and welcome to the first edition of the Wiggle Blog Blog of the Week (WBBW – I’m pronouncing this ‘wubuh’). Here at Wiggle, we read a lot of different blogs around the internet. Some of us are even lucky enough to get paid for it! Well, sort of. Anyways, I’m going to use this slot each week to highlight a blog out there that I think is interesting / amusing / informative, so that you can hopefully enjoy it too. If you write a blog – and it really can be on any tangentially related subject; cycling, tri, running, swim, sports science, technology – and want me to write about it, please leave a comment below. Insiders tip – if you bring it to my attention, and you don’t have naked pictures, I’ll probably feature it. We’re keen if you are.

Kicking things off this week we have…. i b i k e l o n d o n

i b i k e l o n d o n (it’s really hard to keep putting those spaces in) is a blog that’s been written by Mark Ames since 2009 about, well, cycling in London. Here’s a picture of him, standing in London (you can tell it’s London as it’s really busy)

The blog itself is a mix of observations about riding around London, commentary on the increasingly political nature of cycling in the city and a healthy dose of style. It’s one of several blogs devoting a great deal of real estate to examining TfL’s and the Mayor’s office’s latest proposals on how bicyclists fit into the flow of people around the city. Mark also seems to have a good eye for a picture, which, if you read my blog on the London Bike Show last week, you’ll know isn’t as easy as it looks. Here’s what the site looks like today.

You’ll like this if: You ride around any city, London or otherwise.

Look out for: Insightful commentary on the purpose and use of urban spaces for families and motorists alike.
