Wiggle Mountain Mayhem 2012 promises 3 days of chok-a-blok running and cycling activity – consider it a festival of family fun! FREE onsite camping is available, plus hot showers, jet washer, champion chip timing and feed stations for the sportive – don’t say we don’t spoil you!
So what can you expect?
Friday
To kickstart Mayhem 2012, we have a hat trick of events on the evening of Friday 22nd June. Firstly, runners get some Mayhem TLC with an off-road route called “Midsummer Madness”. Then it’s time for our canine chums to take on their own off-road challenge, “Barking Mad”. After that, it’s time to make sure that the littl’uns get some serious shut-eye… the Mini Mayhem pyjama party will get rid of their excess energy. Oh and it’s topped of with a hot choc opportunity – genius!
Saturday
Day number two, Saturday 23rd June, is the biggie and is crunch time for MTB riders that have spent the year preparing to take on the infamous challenge that is Mountain Mayhem. Tickets for the male solo category have already been snapped up but there are still some entries left for the womens solo category! There are also still some tickets left for team efforts – Mountain Mayhem Open Event (Team of 4), Mountain Mayhem Expert Event (Mixed Team of 4), Mountain Mayhem Fun Event (Mixed Team of 10 Riders) and the Mountain Mayhem Sport Event (Mixed Team of 5) are still up for grabs! We all know that finishers of Mayhem earn some pretty strong bragging points, so we weren’t surprised when we had junior riders asking us to lower the entry age so that they can get their bit of glory too! Unfortunately we can’t do that but we’ve come up with a way to fill the gap ;) Cue Saturday’s later event, jnr24@24. Bring it on!
Sunday
By the time we hit Sunday 24th June it’s time for the road riders to take on the Sunday Munch sportive. After luxuriating in a special ‘sportive rider’ campsite, you’ll have enjoyed being undisturbed by the 24 hour MTB event and will be bright eyed, bushy tailed and raring to go! Road cyclists are given a choice of either a 50km or 100km route and also get a free Sunday Munch tshirt thrown in. Perfect weekend then!
One extra challenge…
We know full well that Mayhem riders love an extra challenge so we have come up with a plan – the Mayhem Million! How amazing would it be to raise £1 million for charity? The sum would reflect an overall total from your personally selected charities. In essence, you get time on the bike and charities get some fabulous support. Total win win situation!
All entries can be done quickly and easily online. What are you waiting for? Make your mark for 2012!
