It’s been a while since the last blog update on life here in the photo studio. A lot has happened. We’ve been busy, travelling, staying put, visiting some interesting suppliers, having others visit us. Pro riders have popped in, as they do. There’s been a Christmas, a 40th birthday or two and even some snow and all the chaos and disruption (and mountain biking) that that brings. More on all that in forthcoming blogs, but for the main part it seems to have been a month of bikes and shoes.

Let’s start with the recent (ish) visit by a member of the Peloton…

Geraint Thomas with the competition win jersey

Big wheels seems to have been the theme in here recently. Big for mountain bikes anyway, somewhat normal for road and cross bikes to be honest.

We started off the year with what felt like the entire Felt range dropping on our doorstep with a post it note saying ‘shoot me’ on them. Some alu, some carbon, some matte some shiny…

Felt Edict Nine 3

One of our design team, Ed was so taken with it he bought the very one you see above and made it look like it does below within a day…

Felt Nine 1

But still plenty of 26in wheelers…

Felt Compulsion 1….

Felt Compulsion 50

Then it was on to our friends in Belgium. They in fact ‘are’ Belgium. Ridley and their fast-ness.

Noah  Dura Ace

Noah R-Lotto Record

Noah Fast Red

It’s Liz….

Aero-ness

And on to more Belgian influence. Cross bikes with great names, gotta be Van Dessel.

Gin & Trombones

Full Tilt Boogie

Tapered

Nice fork

Sometimes I look across to our prep table and images of Imelda Marcos come to mind…or at the very least, my 1980′s – 1990′s trainer collection (thankfully now re-homed).

Salomon continue to inspire with their awesome off road range. I know they’re aimed at mud, but I’m thinking of starting a collection of Speedcross for standing in Waitrose Queues…The colours are just splendid.

Speedcross

XR Mission

Mission’s got sole…

XR Crossmax

And so on to our friends at Asics. How’s this for colour…? Asics Gel Noosa. I love it!

Noosa got Sole too…

Asics Gel Nimbus

And cake of the week? Well since Christmas we’ve all been trying to eat less of it (how predictable), but this could be a contender…

Apple slice drizzle thing from Verona Airport. Not sure what the engine oil sauce was though, was sort of caramel, sort of Castrol R.

Until…
