Pacific Edge Events and Wiggle have revealed that, by kind invitation of HRH the Princess Royal, Wiggle Mountain Mayhem will be held at Gatcombe Park on June 15th and 16th.
The privately owned venue has never before been used for a cycling event. It features existing woodland tracks which are, Pacific says, well suited for a challenging course, with designers promising great elevation and a well made course of well made forest tracks and gravelly rock structure so the soil drains well.
As is tradition, forms will be available from midnight on February 28th and take to Pat Adams’ house for the through-the-night pilgrimage to be the first to get their entry in. As less energetic way to enter is available online from midday on March 1st at www.wigglemountainmayhem.com.
Pacific Edge’s Patrick Adams said: “We are over the moon that we have been invited to Gatcombe Park. It is truly a fantastic location. We needed somewhere very special to take the place of Eastnor and in Gatcombe Park we have found it. Quite honestly, it is beyond our wildest dreams.”
Wiggle’s event and athlete manager Jason Sims added: “We asked Pacific Edge if they could come up with a new location suitable for Wiggle Mountain Mayhem that was somewhere special. We were not disappointed. We believe that year 16 will be the best Mountain Mayhem ever and we are delighted as Wiggle that we are the headline sponsor.”
